I am a Geospatial and Remote Sensing Professional with an interest in Sustainable Development, Environmental Management and Urban Environments. I have a Master’s Degree from the University of Queensland, Australia where I was recognised for my high academic results with multiple Commendations by the Faculty Dean. Currently I am working on my third contract at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) based in Bangkok, Thailand. I work on projects aimed at building a strong partnership with member States, regional, national, sub-national and international institutions where I help share and leverage Geospatial and Remote Sensing Applications, relevant data, knowledge, and tools through regular exchange of information and experience.
Additionally, throughout my studies and work life I have worked with platforms such as ArcGIS Pro, ENVI, QGIS and Google Earth Engine. I completed my Master’s research project focusing on developing methods of snow mapping utilising Google Earth Engine.
I also have a background and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with over 2 years’ experience in a Fortune 500 firm working in business development, so have a strong foundation in all aspects that underpin a variety of businesses and models. I have experience with a mix of work modalities with my current position being remote and past positions on site. I am able to manage work both independently and in teams across multiple time zones and in a variety of challenging situations.
In my spare time I enjoy getting outdoors through; Sailing, both racing and cruising in all classes of boats, and have a passion for skiing. I also enjoy all kinds of Photography and travel. I am fortunate enough to have travelled broadly and additionally have spent a short period living in Canada. These experiences have provided me with a wide global network, and combined with my work experience, afford an international perspective.
